Stone Floor Restoration
Almost any dull-looking stone floor can be brought back to life through professional stone floor restoration — even 100-year-old marble can be reground and polished to look like new. In most cases, floors deteriorate because incorrect cleaning products or maintenance routines have been used over the years, causing gradual surface damage.
Unsightly dirty grout lines are one of the most common reasons homeowners and businesses contact us for stone floor restoration. Whether your floor needs a simple strip, clean and seal, or a full diamond grind and polish, we have the expertise and equipment to restore any natural stone floor to its former glory.
Badly laid stone floors — Tiles with lips in excess of 2mm can be rectified with our full diamond grind service, levelling tiles completely flat so that the grout line sits flush with the tile. Our stone floor restoration service covers all stone types and conditions across the UK.
What We
Restore
Before & After
by Stone Type
Slate floors are highly durable but can lose their lustre and depth of colour over time due to heavy foot traffic and the use of incorrect cleaning products. We use specialist diamond grinding and honing techniques to remove surface damage and restore slate to its natural richness, finishing with a breathable, protective sealer suited to the specific slate type.
Terracotta floors add warmth and character to any home, but years of wax build-up, ingrained dirt and inappropriate sealers can leave them looking flat and dull. We strip back all previous coatings, deep clean the surface and re-seal with a product designed specifically for terracotta — bringing back that warm, rich, earthy tone.
Limestone is a beautiful but relatively soft and porous stone that is prone to scratching, etching from acidic substances and staining. Our restoration process uses a sequence of progressively finer diamond grinding pads to remove surface damage, followed by crystallisation or polishing to produce a hard-wearing, long-lasting finish that truly does justice to the stone.
Travertine's naturally pitted surface can harbour deep-seated dirt and look tired and uneven over time. We offer a comprehensive travertine restoration service including void filling with colour-matched grout, grinding, honing and polishing — transforming a worn, neglected floor into a stunning centrepiece of the room.
Marble is one of the most prestigious flooring materials available, but its relatively soft surface makes it susceptible to etching from everyday spills, scratching and gradual dulling. Our marble restoration process uses precision diamond tooling across multiple grit stages to remove surface defects, returning even heavily worn marble to a deep, mirror-like reflective polish.
Victorian tiled floors and York stone flags are irreplaceable — they carry the authentic character and history of a property. Our careful, sympathetic restoration approach preserves the integrity of these heritage materials while cleaning, re-grouting and sealing them to a standard that will protect them for many decades to come.
Quarry tiles and terrazzo floors are exceptionally hardwearing, but years of build-up from inappropriate sealers, polish and cleaning chemicals can leave them looking completely flat and lifeless. We use specialist stripping agents and mechanical grinding to fully expose the original surface, followed by sealing to lock in that restored look long-term.
