Yes — we carry full public liability insurance and comply with all relevant Health & Safety legislation on every project.
We hold £5 million public liability insurance and £2 million employer's liability insurance on every project. Our installations comply fully with current Building Regulations and British Standards for concrete flooring. We are registered with the Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) and can provide full documentation on request prior to any project commencing.
Timescales vary significantly depending on the project size, concrete mix, ambient conditions and the finish level required.
As a rough guide: a newly poured concrete floor typically requires 28 days to cure before polishing can begin. The polishing process itself for a standard domestic floor (40–60 m²) usually takes 3–5 days. We will give you a precise programme as part of your quotation.
Polished concrete is extremely low maintenance compared to most other floor types. Day-to-day cleaning requires nothing more than a damp mop with a pH-neutral cleaner.
We recommend a maintenance diamond buff every 2–3 years and periodic re-application of the surface sealer depending on traffic levels. We provide a full aftercare guide with every project and are always on hand to answer questions.
